Black gud or jaggery is the best as it does not contain any chemicals which may be used to whiten it. It's usually found at alcohol shops as they use it to make alcohols. Jaggey in Jeevamrit helps microorganisms multiple much faster due to it being a sugar which forms a source of carbs for them. Similar to the FPJ concept in korean natural farming
